CLASS OF 2022 POST PROM PARTY FAQ

What is the Post Prom Party?

The Post Prom Party is planned and hosted by the senior class parents. It’s a safe, substance-free event for students to continue having fun. The Post Prom Party is held at HHS and is chaperoned by sophomore and junior class parents. There will be food, entertainment, games, incredible raffle prizes, and more. The theme of this year's post prom is The Breakfast Club at IHOPkinton! See the Class of 2022 parent website for more info and to purchase tickets, which are $25.

If any student finds the cost of post prom tickets prohibitive, please contact the HHS Guidance Office or a class advisor, Ms. Breen or Mr. Golden, for assistance! We are happy to help and we do not want any student to feel unable to attend Prom, Post Prom, or other class events due to financial hardship.

Who can go to the Post Prom Party?

Any HHS senior student and their prom guest can attend the Post Prom Party, as long as they purchase a ticket. HHS seniors who do not attend the prom can also go to the Post Prom Party!

Is there a deadline for purchasing Post Prom tickets?

Yes! You must purchase tickets by April 15th, 2022. You will not be able to purchase tickets at the door, so be sure to purchase your ticket ahead of time!

Tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How much does the Post Prom Party cost?

$25 per person, regardless of whether they are an HHS senior or not.

Do students need permission to attend the Post Prom Party?

Yes, parents/guardians are required to register their student(s) via online registration. CLICK HERE to register!

PLEASE NOTE: Students and their guests cannot register themselves for Post Prom, even if they are over 18! A parent/guardian must complete the registration form with their student, agree to all conditions, and discuss the agreements with their child. Digital signatures will be required of students/guests and their parents/guardians before the ticket is purchased!

For those families registering multiple students for Senior Post Prom, the parent/guardian will need to complete a separate online registration form and process a separate payment for each student.

If your student’s prom guest is a non-senior or a non-HHS student, please alert that individual that their parent/guardian must also complete the online registration process and payment.

The following forms of payment are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Debit Card.  For online payments, a $1.00 processing fee will be added to the ticket cost.  We also accept checks made out to the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Organization “HPTO” with “Senior Post Prom Ticket” in the memo field. See the registration page for information on where to send a check!

Should any student find the Senior Post Prom cost prohibitive, please contact the HHS Guidance Office or a class advisor for assistance!

What time is the Post Prom Party?

The Post Prom Party begins when students arrive back at HHS, immediately following the prom at approximately 10:30 PM and ends at 2:00 AM.

Do students have to stay for the whole Post Prom Party?

Yes. All students who attend the Post Prom Party are required to stay until the end at 2:00 AM.

Can students just leave after the Post Prom Party is over?

No. Due to safety and liability issues, students may not dismiss themselves and/or drive themselves home. When purchasing a ticket, the parent/guardian designates up to two adults to pick up the student at the conclusion of the Post Prom Party (between 1:45AM - 2AM).

The designated Pick Up Adults (over 21) must come inside of HHS to check out students and be prepared to show identification matching the name on the online registration. Students will only be released to the person on the registration form.

Parents/guardians are permitted to register to pick up multiple students.

What do students wear to the Post Prom Party?

Students generally change out of their prom attire and dress very casually (such as sweatpants and sweatshirts). It’s all about comfort! Students should plan to bring a bag to school with a change of comfortable clothes, and a hanger/garment bag for their formal clothes on the morning of May 13th. The change of clothes bag will be properly labeled with the student’s name upon drop-off.

Additionally, students who rent tuxedos will be able to return their tuxedos right after prom!

Is there a photographer at the Post Prom Party?

There will not be a professional photographer, but there will be photo opportunities! The Post Prom Party will also have a photobooth!

Anything else?

In addition to an IHOP pancake breakfast, there will be a donut wall and ice cream! Plus, you can get your past, present, or future told by a tarot card reader, try your aim at dual axe throwing, compete for gift cards in laser tag, basketball shot, a cash cube and other cool games, participate in Just Dance, or simply chill out. Other fun surprises await for those who join the Post Prom Party! Plus, the night will end with a Hypnotist Show!

Anything else we should know?

Yes! There will be running door prizes and game prizes throughout the evening. Try your luck at winning Shell gas giftcards in our weekly raffle (the sooner you buy tickets, the more chances you have to win), and then be eligible for door prizes just by attending, such as a gift card for a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich for all attendees! Exciting opportunities will exist throughout the night to win more prizes.

What can parents do to help?

Parent help is needed for all aspects of this fun event. Join the committee by emailing hhs2022info@gmail.com. Help as much or little as you are able. Night of assistance, donations of items, and help spreading the word is truly appreciated.

Weekly planning meetings are held on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the HHS Cafeteria. Join, if you can!
